Pebble Beach 2011 Concours d’Elegance Field Highlights

This year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance did not disappoint.  The crowds arrived very early.  Cold & gray did not cast a cloud over the excitement surrounding Sunday’s event.  Congratulations to the Mullin family for their Best of Show Voisin.

Up at 6am and out the door of our hotel by 7am was the start of our day after deciding which of my 3 outfits to wear.  It was cold and damp: raincoat, cashmere sweater, scarf, stylish hat and comfortable flats.  Of course I like to look good but I’m not sacrificing weather appropriate for fashion.  Next year – gloves.

Armed with the camera and car guide we hit the field by 8:30 for well over 100 photos some of which I’ve included on this slide show.  FYI: all photos were taken prior to the customary walking around the field with a glass of champagne.
