Easy Short-Rib Slider Recipe from Elle Decor

Every month in Elle Decor Magazine after basking in page after page of inspiring interior design articles and glossy photos they mix things up with a fabulous recipe of an acclaimed chef.  In the 2012 July/August issue, Daniel Boulud delivers a recipe for quite possibly the most perfect dish for your summer BBQRun to the newsstand if you don’t already have this issue, but as a design aficionado – it is likely already in your summer reading pile. Chef Daniel Boulud is the owner and gastronomic maestro of several award-winning restaurants (Daniel in NYC & Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach come to mind) and is known for his mastery of flavors.  Dining at one of his restaurants is as enjoyable as it is educational, for the palate and the mind – always a special treat.  In this month’s magazine he offers up BBQ Short- Rib SlidersThis recipe is sooooo easy and packed with flavor.  Plus the house will smell amazing starting on about hour 3-4 of the slow roasting.  The oven temp is low so no worries about heating up the kitchen in the scorching summer months.  Tip: this will be in your year-around repertoire. No need for utensils the short-ribs are so tender after roasting they melt in your hands as you pull them apart to mix with the homemade BBQ sauce. Dare I change the master’s recipe?  I used brioche buns rather than his suggested Parker-House rolls, full sized as this was way too good to serve as a mini.

Thank you Elle Decor, not only do you bring us the best in design but extraordinary recipes from the best in food.  This is one of those recipes you’ll enjoy for years!  So, so good and FYI I am not ordinarily a short-rib fan.
