Red and yellow were the hot colors for Palm Beach last weekend as Ferraris from all over the world made their annual pilgrimage to the Cavallino Classic. Crystal clear blue skies and bright sun held throughout the entire five day event.
My date for the Jet Aviation event was my camera as the hubs was off at a business dinner, oh well. Ferraris new and old parked on the tarmac amongst the latest offerings in small jet aircraft.
Track day was light due to the fact that the Ferrari Challenge Series was also going on at Daytona on the same weekend.

An added treat was the opportunity to view five or so vintage Bugattis which had been invited to participate in the fun.
As soon as the light broke on the horizon Ferraris, were in line for their appointed space on the lawn at The Breakers.

1951 Ferrari 212 Export Spyder
1952 Ferrari 212 Inter Berlinetta
1957 Ferrari TRC 500
These are just a few samples of the glorious Ferraris on display during the Cavallino Classic. However, it is the people who are really enjoyable. During lunch one day I had a page turning conversation about vintage French automobiles with a lovely couple. As it turned out, they have one of my favorites, an Avions Voisin, which just happened to win at Pebble Beach – heaven. I’ll have more in the upcoming weeks, including the cars from Mar-A-Lago. Stay tuned, and keep the battery charged over the winter.
