Here on the Decor Girl blog we are dedicating our posts this month to color in the interior.  Color is an essential element in every interior one encounters.  Every room, business or building one enters, color exists.  Bright and bold,or soft and ethereal, color makes a room. I took this picture in the Amsterdam airport.  Basically the color of this entire room is stone white with chrome details.  Until you get to the blue portion of the light fixture.  Not too much, but just enough to keep the atmosphere serene and restful, yet interesting.  If the colors were different the space would not be effective for easing passenger duress. All this month we are going to get into the nitty gritty of using color in the interior.  How much, how little, too little and too much.  We’ll talk about where to start, how to choose, and where to put it.   I’ll offer you some classic color schemes which always work and some exciting new color combinations to rev up your interiors, plus a whole lot more.  Strike up the band and get your marching boots on we are going to bring in the color.
