Can I Have Your Opinions On BBQ Grills?

It’s the patio season, time for grilling outdoors.  Grillin’ and chillin’ is what is on the menu for spring and summer.  For some this could be in an outdoor kitchen or others just a grill on the deck or patio.  Regardless of how, what or where you grill, I’d love your opiniongrilled-beef-kabobs_large-400x298Photo via Half Hour Meals, click for Grilled Beef Kabob Recipe.

This season I would like to ask you a question (pretty please with calorie free natural sugar on top), my dear reader:

What is your favorite outdoor grill?

Really, I would love to know.  Why?  Because each year any number of us are in the market for a new grill and don’t know where to turn.  Of course there are dozens of paid for endorsements or pseudo articles one can read.  You know me, I’m not one for fluff.  I don’t know about you, but those syrupy endorsements don’t provide an honest “this is the grill for me” feeling.Outdoor kitchen via gmtoday

It doesn’t matter if you have a built-in like in this outdoor kitchen favorite from Pinterest, or a stand alone grill.  All input matters.  Your thoughts are relevant, unless you work for a grill manufacturer and don’t actually use a grill.

SO, if you would be willing to give up the goods on your recommendations in the comment section below or via email through the contact tab, I will do a post in May based on real feedback from real people.  Have a virtual cocktail.  Invite your friends!   The more the merrier.  If I get enough feedback I’d love to contact the manufacturer with the most positive responses and see if we can work some type of give-away.  Hey, it can’t hurt to ask. 🙂

You give me some names of grills you love,  I’ll keep you in the loop.  Sound like a plan? Lisa sig

  1. About 10 years ago, I purchased a Big Green Egg.
It functions today as well as it did the first time I used it.
Next weekend it will go into service slow cooking two Boston butts that will eventually star in our famous Smoked Pork Curry recipe for 15 of us.
The Egg is also capable of reaching 700+ degrees for steak searing.
It works best with natural hardwood charcoal, but natural hardwood imparts the best flavor to any grilling effort, by far.
When I loaded the Egg into my car for the 1st time, the salesman said, “This is the last grill you’ll ever buy.”
    Damned if wasn’t right.

  2. I have often wondered about these. I’ve seen them but never heard from anyone (real) who uses one. Are they super heavy?

    Great feedback Harry, thank you.

  3. Harry is not the first person to praise the big green egg, I have heard strong praise of those things and tasted the best pizza ever cooked on one. We love the charcoal flavor and have a weber. For now we are good with that 🙂 but could maybe be talked into a green egg if there is a death on the patio :0

  4. Good to know Courtney, lots of people love their weber’s and charcoal. But the egg does sound intriguing.
