Next week our travel schedule has us running off to Venice and Milan for a bit of a design and cultural immersion as part of the Modenus BlogTour Milan. As many of you may be making yearly travel plans we thought we’d offer up inspiration from our favorite travels. A road trip along Historic Route 66 is a must for many car lovers and history buffs. Full of nostalgic design, architecture and American Folk Art this is an unforgettable road trip. Speaking of road trip, the first half of our summer tour before Route 66 took us to beautiful Keystone, Colorado. Another great place for good clean summer fun is on the northern Michigan shores of Lake Michigan. One can camp, cabin, condo or hotel it, all allow one to take in the fresh clean air and breathtaking vistas Northern Michigan has to offer. As the hubby & I grew up there we’ve got the inside track on the must do’s when visiting. If driving isn’t for you maybe island getaways are more your style. In Hawaii the island of Maui is a wonderful place to unwind and chill out. At the opposite end of the beachy spectrum is the historic playground of the rich and famous, Palm Beach and the best place to stay is The Breakers. Last year’s BlogTour Cologne offered many enchanting sights starting with day one in Cologne, Germany. But then there is always Paris. After dragging my husband there, we can not wait to go back. This city and the surrounding countryside has something for everyone. Just don’t forget the comfortable shoes. But it is the fashion capital so if you want to avoid looking like a tourist, leave the running/tennis shoes and daytime stilettos at home. We’ll be right back here on April 12th. Ciao!
