Palm Beach Style Transcends The Florida Coast

Palm Beach, Florida, the playground of the rich and famous for over a century;  a place where style is a religion.  But regardless of one’s wallet, anyone can put a little Palm Beach style into their interior.   Palm Beach style appreciates color and tradition without screaming look at me.

Palm Beach style is big, bold and never cold.  Hot juicy colors oozing with life, never allowing a shadow to infiltrate their sunshine.  Beautiful sandy beaches play against aqua waters and tropical palms, what a recipe for happy.COLOR –  Sun, fun, festive cocktails, glittery jewels, tropical plants, clear blue skies and pearly white all give a visual cue to what populates the Palm Beach color schemes.  Black is for tuxedos and far too somber for this juicy decor.  TRADITIONPalm Beach architecture pulls from Mediterranean palaces to Bermuda cottages to precision Richard Meier Contemporary to Classical styles from the Gilded Age.  Palm Beach Style presents an appreciation of history while honoring the past.  FURNITURE – Using traditional furniture with a colorful twist is an easy way to incorporate Palm Beach style into an interior.  Take something old and give it a fresh coat of tropically charged paint.  This is not a style about sleek and new, everything is born from tradition. Storage cabinet B5These are just three of my Palm Beach style finds from High Point Furniture Market.  It is all about color and tradition with flair.Lilly Pulitzer fabrics by Lee Jofa fast track any interior to Palm Beach style. Picture these green and pink options in an all white kitchen.  A lime green faucet and bubble gum pink range hood.  Who would have thought?

Palm Beach style incorporates lots of white to serve as a necessary backdrop to vivid colors.  Wood colors, if not colorfully painted, are white, white washed, natural or driftwood.  Think clean and natural.  For more inspiration just type Palm Beach into my search section on the sidebar and you’ll find plenty to enjoy. 🙂Lisa sig2
