It it Fashion Friday! Today we are going to veer from home decor to human decor because those who are into interior design are usually into fashion too. We decorate ourselves with the same style rules we use on a room: balance, focal point, use of color and more. (There are some however who could learn from this… We often use a little black but would one decorate a room in 100% black? Well people don’t belong 100% black either or they’re missing the point. Just something to ponder.) Anyways…

So, do you have your low to mid-calf black or brown (more in black than brown) motorcycle boots yet? Better hurry up. Most style inspired people have a lust for the latest fashion trend but we are more likely to commit to one in black leather. Which is why these are flying off the shelves.

It’s not a totally new trend, as boots fashion blogs have been mentioning them for a while. Fashionising.Com notes biker chic is still on the 2011 runway but for Fall 2011 almost everyone has something in the low boot category.

Clearly this 2 for 1 (the harness is removable) from Miu Miu seems just right.
I spoke with the shoe salesman extraordinaire, Nester, at Holt Renfrew who insisted they are down to very limited sizes in almost every boot available. “Once they are gone they are gone. This year everyone wants boots!”
Can’t say I don’t understand. These are great fashionable boots which have the added bonus of being wearable a.k.a. not sky-friggin-high. So if you are thinking a pair of stylish motorcycle boots would make a nice Christmas gift, think again. I’m thinking one could rationalize these as part of a Halloween costume with the bonus of getting to wear them after the big day. Want them? Buy them now.
What is your fall fashion desire?
