On January 19, 2012 the kick-off reception for the 2012 Cavallino Classic was held amongst a balmy clear sky at Jet Aviation. Ferraris from every era rumbled in for a festive meet and greet on the tarmac, herded in place by $600 + million in the latest private jet offerings.
How is this for a spread? The Ferrari 375 MM, 365 GTB Daytona, 512 LM and new 458 Italia.
Ferrari 330 GTC, 512 BB, 575 Super America, California Spyder and more.
The old men drove the Enzos. Not as in slow, obviously, but as in who can afford a million dollar + car.
Lets compare the giallo 599, GTO and 458.

Yes, this is working for me. Of course I would change out the generic tan interior. 🙂
The evening’s cocktails were capped off by a people’s choice award for favorite Prancing Horse and silent auction. The silent auction seemed to garner more competition as the eager bidders circled the table like vultures as the last seconds ticked away, to get their name on the list for the winning bid on their item of choice. I won a model of a Gulfstream G-280. Hey, a girl can dream! But this left another attendee whining like a spoiled brat. Big dopey sore looser. Puhlease – this is for charity!
See you next Saturday for part 2 of the 2012 Cavallino Classic Events!
