The cavalcade of Ferraris from all points on the globe are about to takeover the streets of Palm Beach during the silver anniversary of the Cavallino Classic. Best of Show winners from the past 25 years will take center stage (lawn) on the grounds of The Breakers on Saturday, January 23, 2016 during the Concorso d’Eleganza. While in Palm Beach, there is much more to see than just cars, here are some of our favorites things to do and places to eat.
What To Wear
Palm Beach is nothing without its rainbow of fresh colors. This is not the place for black. Navy blazers and khaki pants are the judges uniform, embrace summer clothing and plenty if color. Red and yellow replaces the typical yummy Palm Beach colors during many of the Cavallino events, at least for men.
What To See
Architecture, nature and culture are the items one can most appreciate in this billionaire’s enclave.
Palm Beach is a microcosm of historic architecture with multi-story cottages and lush manicured landscaping. Famous gilded age architects built massively detailed structured with strong Morrish and European influences. One can drive or walk the grid of streets which make up the island of Palm Beach to view the homes and experience a gardener’s delight. 
Henry Flagler is the man who started it all and his beautiful mansion, Whitehall, is open for visitors and just across from The Breakers. 
But don’t forget the beach, the main beach is free and one can soak up the rays, collect shells and enjoy a leisurely stroll in the blonde sand while staring out to the magnetic azure Atlantic ocean.
Culture is what you make of it and what you observe. This is a shoppers mecca be it new or old, Dixie Highway for antiques or Worth Avenue for the latest designer must haves. People watching in Palm Beach is like nothing else. You’ll see it all: miniature puppies peaking out of Hermes handbags; candy sized (day) jewels (real) glittering in the sun; stylish couples in color coordinated sherbet colors strolling Worth Avenue; and of course a concours of cars just parked along the street. Palm Beach is where money can buy everything, though the amount of women with matching faces and men with bad hairpieces does make you wonder. Palm Beach is fun for even the most casual observer.
Where To Eat
The Seafood Bar at The Breakers – Great cocktails and elegant bar food at a whole other level. Great for lunch or dinner.
Taboo – A Palm Beach classic, the place to lunch if strolling the Avenue. Good service, great food with a mix of Italian and coastal flavors.
The Flagler Steakhouse – This is not your run of the mill pricey steakhouse with the same old meat, here the club house ambiance and the food is worth every penny. The South African lobster tails and blackened ribeye are two on a long list of favorites. Its all good.
Echo – This is our favorite restaurant in Palm Beach, maybe on the whole east coast. Offering creative asian dishes full of flavor, Echo is consistently wonderful. Make room, it is always worth starting with a Dim Sum sampler.
