Happy New Year with Rolls Royce Models Which Turn 100

In an attempt to be somewhat topical, date wise, here are some fantastic cars which were built in 1912 from the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.  Wow, 100 years seems like so long ago.  As many advancements as we’ve had in the last 20 years with technology, 100 years ago (other than the electronics) cars weren’t really all that different.  Well, that is not quite true, one got a lot for their money and cars were not yet homogenized beyond recognition.  Here are four 100 year old Rolls Royce Silver Ghosts which were a special feature at this year’s show.

Yes, it would have made complete sense to end this post with a picture of us drinking champagne on the lawn, we always do as it is part of the program.  However, unless Jeff or I happen to be in a shot the other one of us took, we only take pictures of cars.  Is that wrong?
