The Ultimate One – Off 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe: The Round Door Rolls
If I was getting a car as gift I would have a very hard time choosing. Well of course there are always monetary constraints but it is the holiday season, indulge me, let me dream a little. If there was one car, just one which was so special… this is it. 
This car has it all: line, curve, style design, horsepower, luxury and class. Of course with all custom built fabulous cars the story is fascinating. Sports Car Market Letter had a good article a few years back, but I couldn’t find it online and I’m not digging through you know who’s piles of saved magazines. Don’t get me started, anyways…
OMG this Rolls-Royce Phantom I is one of the most beautiful cars every built. It is owned by the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles. But let me note so as not to lead anyone down the road of disappointment we took, it isn’t always on display at the Petersen Museum. They have so many cars, and we missed the rotation. Drats!
Update: When I visited the Petersen for the grand reopening in December 2015, it was there. I was happy!
