Part of the charm of Car Week surrounding the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is everyone with anything to show in the car world is there. What many people don’t realize are all the new exotic cars offered up as temptation. Gotta spare $2.2 million and change?
I took these pictures of the Sesto Elemento, during the Monterey Jet Center event last summer. The carbon fiber Lamborghini lightweight (2,202 lbs), was put in to production for the 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini.
Even the wheels are carbon fiber. Brilliant, finally someone is concerned about cleaning, one can never tell they are dirty from brake dust.
Does this design nod to aviation mean it can fly? Six-speeds, paddle shift (semi-automatic) and all wheel drive with a 570 hp V-10, hell yeah, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds might do it. Fly baby, fly! And it does, but only on the track. Street legal, it is not.
Racing red interior to match the exterior trim details gets high marks for aesthetics, yes, even if it is not my preferred blue. However, Blu Ely would be striking, less pedestrian in my book. Just say’in.
Produced in a super limited edition of 20 cars, each of one of these ultimate Lambo supercars already has a home. And you were wondering what the .001% did with their money. Not for us mere mortals.
Ah but a girl can dream… the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento on the track at Mid-Ohio would be my idea of a fun day at the track. Happy motoring!
