There is a freakishly similar response when you talk to someone about orange cars, they almost immediately relate the car to a pumpkin. Its never orange juice, a carrot or even a basketball, orange brings to mind pumpkin. In the world of fabulous cars, mainly supercars, we give you the automotive version of the great pumpkin for Halloween.

Technically the color on this 1956 Lincoln Dreamsicle Hot Rod by Gene Winfield is called Tequila Sunrise Orange, but it still looks like a great pumpkin.

Interesting how both Lamborghini and Ferrari from similar eras offered orange. Believe me finding an orange Ferrari is hard. Ferrari does have an orange/red color called Rosso Dino, but it is much later than this car.
We can consider this Bugatti Veyron the world’s most expensive great pumpkin.
McLaren has committed to orange over the years as shown on both the 1969 McLaren M6B and K-Pax’s Pirelli World Challenge 2015 McLaren 650S GT3.
Porsche is not afraid of the big bold color in either racing or everyday cars.
When is comes to fearless use of color, Lamborghini wins when it comes to most prolific use of this dynamic color. Plus their modern supercars certainly have similar characteristics to the carved faces we create on our own great pumpkins.
Happy Halloween!
