Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week

Unusual Automotive Sights From Pebble Beach

It is almost that time again, just 10 weeks until Carmel / Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.  The auctions, exhibitions, parties and car related fun can be a bit like a week in overdrive.  But it is all worth it.  I’ve been taking photos of vintage and classic cars for a long time and each time I think, okay I’ve seen (photographed) about every car of interest, but more always spring up at Pebble Beach.  While the events may be full of many of the same players, there is always a rare or never-before-seen new offering or two. As I am formulating my plans for this year’s event I thought I show you a few of the unusual automotive and non-automotive sights from past years.  Original Ferrari Racing Transport Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this Perana never took off.  The website is dead. Hmm, do I take the Mini, Lusso or Gullwing? Burt Munro‘s real World’s Fastest Indian. A homemade something. There are more than just automotive hunters at Pebble Beach as well…This charming husband and wife team use an owl and a falcon to keeps seagulls and other unwanted birds off the grounds in a humane fashion.  If you’ve never seen one of these up close they are incredible creatures.  For more of my Pebble Beach car event coverage from past years just type Pebble Beach in to my search section on the sidebar.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by… Lisa.
