Where did August go? I left at what seemed like the beginning, 10 days raced by and now we are at almost the end of August. Here is a familiarization lap of the great vehicles we encountered.
We started our journey in the Automobilia Monterey parking lot at the Embassy Suites, loaded with eye candy…
Rare Ferraris and Roll-Royce cars were anything but pedestrian amongst the typical non descript rental cars in the parking lot.
Next we were off to Pebble Beach RetroAuto out at the Inn At Spanish Bay which was loaded with exotics including a full supercar line-up from the Michael Fux collection.
GTO Engineering offered up a beautifully restored Ferrari 250 SWB to enjoy.
One of the treats not on the public calendar of events was the recreation of the Pebble Beach Road Races with seven of the original Ferraris making their way around a portion of the original road course. Yes, these were concours cars and yes they drove through dirt.
Even on Friday morning the cars were being prepped for Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance.
The Gooding & Co preview always has something interesting, race car anyone?
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is always a not-to-miss event, even if you can only go out on test day.
The new Bentley EXP10 Speed Six got rave reviews from customers and press at the Bentley Motors event Saturday night.
Sunday was full of delightful cars, including the Best of Show winner at the 65th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a 1924 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A F. Ramseier and Cie Worblaufern Cabriolet owned by Jim Patterson of Louisville, Kentucky. As always there will be more great cars from 2015 Pebble Beach Car Week in the upcoming weeks.
